The same is true in Korea where soil conditioners are used for "soft soil.
In Korea, they are mainly used at housing construction sites.
In Korea, the need for housing construction is increasing, and residential land is being developed to meet this need.
Especially in the suburbs of large cities such as Seoul, large-scale residential land development is underway.

However, the land being developed is often swampy or marshy, and the ground is very soft.
All major metropolitan areas in Korea are concentrated in coastal areas, and improving the fragile ground is a matter of life and death.

Therefore, in order to construct safe houses, soil improvement is being carried out under the guidance of the government.

Reclaimers made in Japan are used for this soil improvement.
In fact, since there are mobile soil reclaimers made by Korean manufacturers, Japanese-made soil conditioners are playing an active role.

Unfortunately, there is no official import/export (new machine) route for Japanese-made mobile reclaimers.
This is where we, used machinery trading companies, come in.

In Australia, mobile soil reclaimers are used to improve contaminated soil, not soft soil. In Australia, soil tests must be conducted when building houses and other structures. Then, a construction permit is finally granted after meeting the standards set by the government.

Since construction permits are not granted for land with high acidity, it is necessary to use soil reclaimers to improve the soil.

In Japan, where the purpose is to harden the soil, cement or lime type solidifiers are added to improve soil quality, but in Australia, where the purpose is to neutralize acidic soil, a unique combination of additives is used.

In fact, we received an inquiry from Canada who wanted to purchase a soil reclaimer to improve contaminated soil.

When we hear the term "contaminated soil," our mind may conjure up images of former factory sites.
However, the soil conditioners used in Australia and Canada were not used on former factory sites, but on remote rural land.

One wonders why soil in places where there seem to be no factories or other chemical factors is contaminated.
Perhaps the environmental contamination was contaminated by the effects of mineral excavation.

In fact, we once sold a self-propelled soil conditioner to a company in the United Kingdom.
The company was engaged in industrial waste treatment, but we did not have a chance to talk to them in detail because they had researched about soil conditioners in advance and decided to purchase them right away.

There are many excellent heavy machinery and construction equipment made overseas, such as in the U.S. and Germany, but in fact, we had never heard of self-propelled soil conditioners made overseas.

Perhaps it is because Japan has many coastlines and limited land must be used as effectively as possible that these heavy machines have become so popular.
